Sweethearts (1913, Broadway) - The original version of the 1938 film which was MGM’s first musical in Technicolor. Costumes include; Monk, Princes, Prince & Mother Goose!
The Tik-Tok Man of Oz (1913) – An American musical from Frank L Baum, before ‘Oz’ became more famous. An early adventure to Oz but full of characters that are open for adaption for costuming, although none of them are followed up in the later books or plays.
Tonight’s The Night (1914, Broadway) – Musical comedy with some tunes from Jerome Kern. Convicts.
Chu Chin Chow (1916, West End) - Musical comedy based on the Arabian Nights story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
Sinbad (1918) – Building on the success of Chu Chin Chow, this was an Arabian Nights-style vehicle for Al Jolson. Wear Arabian Nights style costumes, including Belly dancing and Arab style costumes.
